Our Live Project brought together a vision for the district and city, which centers around a new green corridor and sustainable transport links, such as new walking and cycling routes, and larger modes of transport. The green corridor vision will allow for further aspires to create a vibrant place that empowers communities and brings forth positive change.
Our proposals look to create a community connection between the buildings and organisations through the enhanced facilities whilst aiding the aspirations and bids for both building’s futures.
The Dell Project was a six week collaboration between the Live Project team, the Dell Steering Group and the wider community, to jointly develop a vision for the future of the Dell, an attractive but underutilised green space in the village of Grimethorpe.
Our team has been working with Can Do South Yorkshire to refine their vision of creating climate action hubs across the region. The project led to the production of an engagement toolkit; a physical toolkit and educational resources.
The Live Project Team worked closely with OpHouse, a collective established in 2020, to engage the local community and prospective residents in the transformation of a vacant care home in York into an affordable, tiny homes, co-housing development. The team hosted an exhibition during York Design Week to gain community insight and used research from this to produce three useful booklets to inform people about co-housing, propose future community facilities for the building and engage potential residents.
